Skill, speed, tactics and technique: a combination of many factors leads to success. Tennis has enjoyed great popularity since long before Roger Federer came along. At our Sportzentrum Gstaad, you will find the ideal conditions and infrastructure for honing your tennis skills – all year round, indoors and outdoors. Our highly qualified tennis coaches are on hand to support you.

The tennis facilities at the Gstaad Sports Centre offer you ideal training opportunities all year round with three indoor and three outdoor courts. Our tennis hall is also the ideal event location for company, club and community events.

Group tennis lessons
Tennis in small groups – game, set, fun – tennis group course
Tennis is more fun in a group. In group lessons, you can learn the game or improve your technique under professional guidance. With a focus on technique, tactics and enjoyment of the game, you will be optimally prepared for your matches. In small groups of 3-4 people – whether you are a beginner or advanced player.

1 = Total beginner
Quality: Has little or no experience with tennis. Shots are uncontrolled
Ball exchange: rare
Experience: 0–5 hours of playing time
Ball exchange: max. 2–3 shots (with luck)
Service percentage (in accordance with the rules): < 20%
Persona: Playing tennis for the first time, used to play tennis at school but then stopped for years, played tennis 2–3 times during the holidays.
2 = Beginner
Quality: Fundamentals are in place. Can hit the ball over the net with forehand and backhand, but struggles with placement and consistency. Lacks game structure.
Experience: 5–30 hours of playing time.
Ball exchanges: 3–6 strokes from the baseline.
Service rate: 20–50%.
Persona: Recreational player with no competitive experience, plays tennis with a partner from time to time, started booking regular lessons 1–2 years ago but has never had a tennis coach.
3 = Intermediate
Quality: Plays regularly. Strokes are controlled and varied. Can apply simple tactical considerations (e.g. exploit opponent's weaknesses). Matches are possible.
Experience: 30–100+ hours of playing time
Ball exchanges: 6–12 strokes from the baseline
Service percentage: 50–75%
Persona: Recreational players who play regularly, players who play matches, several years of regular lessons, may have played school tennis in the past and now play tennis regularly again.
4 = Advanced
Quality: Good technique and footwork. Implements tactics in a targeted manner, masters various types of shots (topspin, slice, volley, smash). Has already played in tournaments and may have held a licence in the past. Experience: 100–500+ hours of playing time
Ball exchange: 10–20+ strokes
Service rate: >75%, possibly with variations (kick service, slice service, twist service...)
Persona: Club player or tournament player
